We've been hanging out with Uncle Bri and having a good time.  This was the first night he was here.

Sleeping on Uncle Bri

Molli is growing and getting sillier everyday.  She is a very happy baby and smiles so much, it's awesome.  Here she is playing and whether she knows it or not, she is doing great hitting her toys!

*Videos aren't able to upload for some reason, I will try again later*

I know a lot of the pictures and videos are the same, but Mom said she likes watching them because they are just simply Molli, even if they aren't funny or exciting, so I will continue posting them.  I think they are sweet, but she's definitely even sweeter in person =)

About 5 seconds later it put her to sleep

I read somewhere that babies typically have growth spurts around week 3 and 6...which is were we are now.  She will be 6 weeks old (already!!) tomorrow and she's definitely started her growth spurt.  She is eating more often and sleeping a lot.  The eating has thrown off our groove, but we're dealing with it.  Unfortunately, with more eating, comes more poop...and major poop at that! Behold, the front explosion:

The real treasure was under the clothes...

She is sweet even when she does disgusting things like that!

We've been busy around here!  I started working again, just a little bit.  I've only worked a few hours, but it feels like a lot more just having to get Molli ready and time feedings before I can leave the house.  I'm grateful to have a job that pays far more in two hours than I used to make in a day.  If only there were more hours involved.  Anyway, we had friends in town this week but they left today.  It was great to see them and spend time with people.  I love being with them but maybe it will be nice to not have to leave the house tomorrow if I don't want to!

Because I've been slacking, here are a couple bits of happiness for you...

Silly girl!

Molli loves her uncles.  She also loves spitting up, so this takes care of both the spit up, and also announcing her love for her uncle(s).   (I don't know why this wont show up right side up.)

Speaking of uncles, Myles and I just got a nephew!  Tamara and Nate's baby was born on the 20th- Jackson Bradley Hibberd.  I am in love with him and I've only gotten to see pictures.  He is adorable =)  I can't wait to meet him, or at least Skype with them.

I know it seems mean, but we were like two minutes away from skyping with my parents and I was trying to keep her awake for it.

Emily and I found a delightful coffee shop this afternoon

I'm exhausted and beyond ready for some good sleep.  I will update with more words in the near future. Peace out

So Brian left Alaska yesterday and my grandpa is in the hospital.  Not a lot of happy things happening for my family.  I feel so bad for everyone up there and really wish I could be there with them.  It's hard being this far away and knowing that my parents are having a hard time.  I want to be there to support them and to cheer them up.  *sigh*

I have a very sweet baby who had another wonderful night last night! She went SEVEN HOURS between feedings!  I'm just amazed by this!  I really hope we are starting to make a habit of this and it's not just a fluke this week.

Russell, Emily and Rob are in town this week and it's so great to have our friends back with us.  We really miss all of them.  It's nice to know that we have friends who can pick right back up where we left off and things aren't awkward even when lots of time passes between visits.

Just for fun, here's a little bit of our morning so far:

This video was about 5 seconds after the first one:

And this one was taken yesterday.  She's such a sweet sleeper!

Sorry it's been a few days! I don't know what we've been so busy with, but it seems like we have been.  Yesterday Jessie came over and practiced with her new camera and took pictures of our little angel...get ready, she's adorable =)  Before Jessie came over Molli was exhausted and got a bad case of the hiccups and tried to sleep through them:

We had an amazing night last night!  Molli only woke up one time last night, and that was 6:45 since she ate last time, then went right back to sleep until 8:00.  It was wonderful and I definitely hope we make a habit out of it!

Some good quality daddy time.  He's a great helper because this pacifier likes to jump out!

This morning we played in the swing, until things got messy.  She's been spitting up a ton lately... I had to change my shirt in the middle of the night last night, and this morning after she puked all over me. Sick!

Due to the mega spit up action, we had bath time.  Molli does great with baths and loves cuddling afterward to get warm.  While we were cuddling this morning, Molli told me that she misses her grandma and grandpa and requested that she wear a special outfit.  We don't have one about Grandpa, so she's wearing "Grandma Makes Me Happy."  Tomorrow she gets to Skype with her Grandma Hand, so she's excited about that too!

Here she's really mellow and about to crash.  It's not a super action filled video, but she's still cute when she's sleepy!

Also, shout out to Brian for leaving a comment on the October 14th post!

Molli and I are trying to go to Bloomington today but it's taking forever to actually move in that direction.  A bath was needed, so I fed her so she'd be calm for bath time, then she puked on her clean self.  She was freezing so I dressed her as quickly as possible  but she got upset with me and thrashed her head around, causing her shirt to get temporarily stuck on her head and in her mouth, which she definitely was not thrilled about.  After such an intense moment she proceeded to projectile vomit directly down my shirt.  Eventually I got myself ready to go but miss Molli decided that instead of going in the carseat, she was desperately hungry...because, you know, she threw up 99% of her previous meal! Good grief.

Myles is in class all day and the battery to his truck is dead so Molli and I are stuck at home for the day.  We've played hard and here's what we ended up with...a very sleepy baby!

Molli spent some time in her swing this afternoon.  This picture was right before the video was taken.  Happy and playing. Then we learned about the dead truck battery so the bow came off and she fell asleep.  Not very exciting around here!  We'll probably go for a walk in a while though.

What a good morning!  Molli went 5 hours and 45 minutes between feedings last night (of course she wasn't sleeping the whole time though, that would be way too much rest for her mom!) and is in a great mood this morning.  We got to skype with Grandma and Grandpa (my parents) for a little bit before they went to work then played on the floor for a little while.  She doesn't mind playing for a short time but she always lets me know when she's all done.  She squawks and does a fake cry when she's over it.  She kicks and kicks and kicks while playing on the floor... her dad and I are thinking perhaps we will have a soccer player on our hands.  Five seconds and two pacifier sucks after being picked up and she's zonked. =)

Molli had to be stripped dow to her diaper after a major poop explosion in the middle of the night.

Her daddy loves giving her kisses

He also loves flying her so she can show off her neck muscles.

Daddy's wedding ring is too big for her nose!

All tuckered out next to Mom who is saying goodnight to Grandma.

Molli got to go with me to turn in some things for work.  Everyone LOVED her and was shocked at how tiny she is.  They all seemed to remember how huge I was!

Monday, October 11, 2010

I guessed based on all the wild thrashing inside of me that Molli was going to be a strong baby and she has proven my guess right!  She was born with impressive neck strength and she's only getting stronger!

We went to Bloomington today and she didn't even know anything more than a nap was going on!  We bought her two more of the big ugly pacifiers that she likes, that way we will never be without.  We also got her a play area that I think will be lots of fun once she discovers how to work her appendages!

She is just a doll!  ...A big bellied doll =)

Pumpkin season!

We have been having lots of fun with Amanda!  Today we went to a pumpkin patch and picked out a couple to bring home.  The weather has taken a turn back toward summer and it was pushing 90 degrees! What happened to fall?

Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure this is only our second picture of the three of us!

We figured it was necessary to sit Molli on a pumpkin...

She wasn't as excited about the idea though.

Here's a better size comparison. This was at the hospital, the day we brought Molli home.

And heres today...

Our little baby has been working hard growing hasn't she?!  She is fitting into her newborn clothes really well now.  I'm happy that she's growing, but also a little bit sad that she's already almost a month old.

My best friend, Amanda, is here in town visiting and loving on Molli for the weekend.  We went to the mall today and got to experience a scream session in Macy's when Molli was demanding to be fed immediately.  We learned that everyone stares at babies, especially when they make a lot of loud noises in stores!  Here's Amanda Lou spending time with Molli on the couch.

She's a noisy sleeper.  We went to Dairy Queen for a cool treat and she fell asleep.  I thought you might like to listen to some of her silly sounds.

What a start!

After a night of eat, nap, eat, nap, eat, nap, etc. Miss Molli had quite an explosive poo on me this morning. She seemed fully satisfied afterward, but the whole messy experience awarded her a morning bath.  On the bright side, Amanda comes today!

We had a pretty good day! Everyone got decent rest last night and we all headed out the door on time for my doctors appointment this morning.  I was afraid of what the doctor was going to do to my toe, but I lucked out big time and just got an antibiotic. Phew!  Not a whole lot to report, so here are some pictures...

Puke!

Smiley face!

She's growing like crazy!  Here's proof:
During her first week at home:

Today:

This photo session was interrupted by the hiccups!

I think Molli is smiling because Amanda comes tomorrow!

Just hanging out with my baby this morning.  She's looking awfully cute!  We had a great night last night- back to 4 hours between feedings (for the night at least).  We woke up at 4 for a few hours then took a nap.  There really isn't much on TV at that time of the morning.  I did get to catch a happy little episode of painting with Bob Ross.

We practiced a little bit of tummy time this morning... it's not her favorite thing.  She has a pretty strong neck though!  This is definitely not the best picture of her, but it's hard to get a good one from this angle!

Wednesday, October 6, 2010

Last night was much better in terms of the unexplainable crying.  Unfortunately, I think my bragging to Becky yesterday jinxed me because instead of her usual 4 hours of sleep in a row, Miss Molli decided that she only wanted about 2 hours at a time.  Lovely.  Few things are worth getting up for several times a night, but she is definitely one of them.  I'll take several happy times up a night rather than a few crying times.

We had some quality cuddle time last night before bed.  Myles took the picture at just the perfect time because she decided to smile right as I decided to lick my lips...so I cropped my stupid face out and kept her cuteness. =)

The weather is changing fast, which I'm excited about and also a little bit sad about. I'm excited because it was a long summer and I love fall, but I'm sad because Molli has some adorable summery outfits that she needs to get more wear out of!  I decided that she can wear a sundress today and if we leave the house she will just have to be a little extra bundled.  She has this same dress in blue...check out how much better she fits in it now!

This is today:

Tuesday, October 5, 2010

Looks like Mom and Dad left just in time to avoid the screaming that miss Molli has discovered she can do.  She has been quite vocal about her demands the past couple of days...and nights.  It's a mystery how something so sweet and adorable can make such awful noises!  What used to be squawks has become something much louder, longer and more difficult to make stop.  She's still our sweet angel, but man oh man can she wail when she wants to!  How can this beautiful face ever be upset?!

We went for a nice long walk today with my friend Becky and her 6 month old.  The weather and company were both wonderful!  It's always nice to get out, plus a little exercise can't hurt!  Unfortunately my walk included wearing real shoes, which isn't a problem normally, however, I currently have some sort of an infection situation with my big toe leftover from a crummy pedicure over a month ago.  Now my toe is sore.  It was worth it though. Hopefully my doctors appointment will clear things up on Friday and shoes will no longer be an issue!

Now we're just hanging out, working on keeping Molli content, eating leftovers and watching Arrested Development.  It's been a good day =)
(check out her big belly!)

My life is so full of happiness!  It's amazing how someone so little can bring so many enormous changes and blessings.  Life is sweet.

Morning one

This is the first morning with just Molli and me.  The house feels empty this morning.  I grew rather fond of our bedtime and morning routine with my parents around.  Not only did I get to sleep more, I also got to do so knowing that my favorite little girl is spending time with her grandma and grandpa, the two people I respect most in the world.  If a little bit of them can rub off on her, we will all be blessed for it.  Having Mom and Dad with us for two weeks has been a healthy reminder of how much I still need my parents.  Their support and confidence in Myles and me has been a daily encouragement and I am so thankful for that.  A young couple starting out in the real world needs that kind of support.  I really hate living so far apart from my family, but I'm sure there are lessons to be learned.  More thoroughly appreciating time spent together has certainly become a reality for us.  One day, I hope, we will move up to Alaska and will give our beautiful Molli a chance to have a special bond with her grandparents who cannot get enough of her.  They will have a relationship and she will develop her own associations with them- The grandpa with the candy and the grandma who rubs my head so I fall asleep...
That's all for now, I have to rescue this baby from her swing as a bad case of the hiccups has ruined her contentment!
